Promise to Our Users:As an nontraditional and forward looking small company, we understand that today’s net-generation of internet users want control and honesty in their online experience. We give users complete control over the wiki, news feeds and even advertising on our site because we know that our users understand what they want and are no longer willing to passively surf the web. We are honest with our users because we know that to have helpful and insightful comments we must support a community of intelligent and savvy people. Although we are a for-profit site (need to pay down those college loans), our business philosophy is that giving teenagers and parents the tools they need to improve their relationship in order to make the teenage years smoother today, will lead these teens to become happier and healthier adults in the future. Company Mission:In the face of child obesity, underage drinking related deaths, increased teen pregnancies and the rise of sexually transmitted infections in teenagers, our company’s mission is to combat these issues by helping parents and teens to improve their communication with each other. This will not only improve their relationship, but also give teenagers the tools to stop the negative spiral of bad grades, drugs and discontent. We strive to reach teenagers on their level by connecting to them with technology, media and language that they use and that appeals to them. In this way, RRules is in the forefront of this generation’s tween and teen trend pulses Our motivation is to use the Wiki, Seminars and products to stimulate the upcoming round of adults with a of myriad of opportunities, encouraging new ideas and lifestyles. RRules is a vehicle that will inspire young adults to better the world that they are about to enter, while simultaneously allowing parents to break free from their negative routines of groundings, chores and family fights. Company Info:Lakewood Systems, Inc., incorporated in May 2007, is the umbrella company under which RRules and the “You’re Grounded!” book is managed. It is fully owned by Vanessa Van Petten.
