Emory University is a private university located in the metropolitan area of the city of Atlanta. Emory was founded in 1836 and is named after John Emory, a popular bishop of the Georgia Methodist Conference. *2 meal plans available for freshmen and 6 for upperclassmen. *Tip: Many different places to eat on campus. *Tip: They are currently redoing Emory Village (the area of restaurants and shops surrounding campus) and will have many new restaurants opening soon.

*Featured in a number of movies including Road Trip and Into the Wild *Has an unofficial mascot that is a skeleton who walks the campus and lets classes out early. *Tip: Alumni are known to give back, it has a very large endowment of $4.4 billion. Coca-Cola helps.
